Since, the creation of the College is a vital part of the government’s efforts to fight fraud in our immigration system. It builds on our significant action over the past few years. Including an investment of $50 million to fight fraud and new educational tools to help applicants identify fraudulent activity. It also fulfils a mandate commitment to strengthen oversight. Uphold the integrity of Canada’s immigration system and protect all those who wish to come here.

- Citizenship or immigration consultants must be members of the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants.
- Lawyers or notaries must be members of a Canadian provincial. Or territorial law society or the Chambre des notaries du Québec.
- Paralegals (Ontario only) must be members of the Law Society of Ontario.
If they are not members in good standing, you should not use their services.
