Federal Skilled Worker Class

Federal Skilled Worker Class (FSWC)

The federal skilled is a flagship program of Canadian immigration for the workers which allows them to become part of the Canadian workforce every year. This program is for skilled workers all over the globe who wish to immigrate to Canada and settle permanently. It allows the candidates to apply with their spouse /common-law partner and dependent children.

Eligibility Criterion:

The minimum criterion for eligibility under the FSWC (the federal skilled) is as under:

The candidate must possess a minimum of 12 months of full-time skilled work experience or an equivalent time in part-time experience. It is mandatory that the work experience is in a single occupation and the occupation is classified in the National Occupation Classification NOC under skill level O, A or B.

The candidate must clear a valid language proficiency test to show that they are proficient in English or French language.

The educational credentials must comply with the norms mentioned in the Educational Credentials Assessment (ECA) which will evaluate your educational qualifications in accordance with the Canadian standards. The minimum educational qualification must be equivalent to the Canadian High School Diploma.

Selection Factors :

The candidate needs to score at least 67 out of the 100 score matrix in the program. This is separate from the CRS score. This selection will be based on the factors such as given below:

Settlement Funds

The selected candidates who are invited to apply for residency under this program have to furnish proof of adequate monetary funds to settle down in Canada along with their dependents. However, this is not applicable in case of the foreign applicants who are currently approved for work in Canada.

Medical Clearance & Police Clearance:

After the issuance of ITA, it is mandatory for the candidate to clear a legitimate Medical test recognised by an IRCC panel physician. The candidate also needs to clear a criminal inadmissibility test before entering Canada and settling as its permanent resident.
