Quebec Immigration

Skilled Worker candidates who plan to live in Montreal or in another city or district inside the area of Quebec are evaluated under an alternate framework that candidates who wish to settle somewhere else in Canada.
Skilled Workers or foreign national in Quebec may apply under what the Government of Quebec calls it’s Regular Skilled Worker Program’, otherwise called the Quebec Skilled Worker Program (QSWP), or the Quebec Experience.

Quebec’s Expression of Interest System
Individuals interested in applying for immigration to the province will begin the process by declaring their interest in applying to the program by entering a profile in the Quebec Expression of Interest.

Quebec Skilled Worker Program Eligibility
Applicants who are successful under the Quebec Skilled Worker Program are issued a Quebec Selection Certificate (CSQ) and can then apply to the Government of Canada for permanent residence. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) will conduct a medical and criminal background check as part of its approval process.

In order to qualify for a CSQ, you must score enough points under the Quebec Immigration selection factors described below. A single (unmarried) applicant must score at least 50 points based on this system, while an applicant with a spouse or common-law partner must score at least 59 points.

Processing Fees

The required fees levied by the Québec government for processing immigration applications are indicated below (application for permanent selection) as of January 1, 2020

How candidates will be invited to apply for a CSQ

Any foreign national 18 or of more age may present an expression of interest to the province using the Arima Portal. Applicants will be positioned against the other candidates in the QSWP’s Expression of Interest Pool. MIDI says nomination to apply for a CSQ will be issued to “the individuals who meet certain criteria, study, work experience  needs to be  in the distinctive locales of Quebec.” Applicants welcomed to apply for a CSQ under the Quebec Skilled Worker Program should meet the passing scores required for the program on the QSWP Points Grid.

Quebec Skilled Worker applicants who meet the underlying prerequisites for instruction and budgetary independence should then meet the required cut-off score of 43 for Employability factors. On the off chance that an applicant has a spouse or common-law his or her education, work experience and language capability will be considered towards a competitor by and large cut-off score. The Employability cut-off score for hopefuls with a spouse or common-law partner is 52.

Applicants welcomed to apply for a CSQ under the Quebec Skilled Worker Program will likewise be required to meet the base limit for Selection factors, which is a passing score of 50 points (and 59 with a spouse or common-law).
